2. In cable transmission lines, DC transmission has no capacitive current, while AC transmission lines have capacitive current, resulting in loss.
3. During DC transmission, the AC systems on both sides do not need to operate synchronously, but the AC transmission must operate synchronously. During AC long-distance transmission, the phase of current will fluctuate significantly at both ends of the AC transmission system, which will cause the AC system to not operate synchronously, which needs to be adjusted with complex and huge compensation system and highly comprehensive technology, Otherwise, strong circulating current may be formed in the equipment, damage the equipment, or cause power failure of asynchronous operation.
4. The loss of DC transmission failure of the gate motor is smaller than that of AC transmission. If the two AC systems are interconnected by AC lines, when there is a short circuit on one side of the system, the other side shall transmit short-circuit current to the fault side. As long as there is a permanent fault on one side of AC, the power must be cut off for the whole line. In DC transmission lines, all levels are regulated and work independently without affecting each other. Therefore, when one pole fails, only the faulty pole needs to be shut down, and the other pole can still transmit no less than half of the power.
